Hey Crazy Cadre!

Time for another Crazy Cockatoo Games newsletter! (Long overdue, actually… sorry about that.) We have not been sitting still. As a matter of fact, we have been hard at work on a new product for game designers!

But first, for those who celebrate Thanksgiving, ==Happy Thanksgiving!== And to all, we hope this newsletter finds you well and that you recognize the many good things, both great and small, there are in the world to be thankful for.

Now on to explaining where we have been the past year…

A New Online Product!

Last year, in our push to get DOT in front of publishers and to further our playtesting on FxRPG, I made contact with game designer extraordinaire Chris Backe. Amongst many other things, Chris had been keeping up a database of 100s of tabletop publishers for game designers to use to help plan out whom they might pitch their games to.

After some conversations, we realized that using both the services that Crazy Cockatoo Games offers to game designers, such as writing custom tools, and Chris' dossier of tabletop publishers, we could create a really cool online product for game designers that made accessing and searching the tabletop publishers dossier easy as well as providing a toolbox for tracking game pitches to those publishers!

This past summer, we released the beta of the new Tabletop Publishers database and toolbox and we released the full version early fall.

We are very excited about Tabletop Publishers and more features are on the horizon to make it even more useful to independent game developers.

Other Progress

And while other Crazy Cockatoo endeavors might have slowed down this year for us to work on Tabletop Publishers, we did not stop. Based on all the great playtesting we did last year, we have a new version of FxRPG ready for playtesting. I must admit, FxRPG is feeling very good. This updated version is only available to our playtesters at this time as we are still working on polishing the text for general consumption.
